Tow Truck Operator

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: Weekly guaranteed base + commission on tow revenue

Position Summary:

Ellis Brothers Towing & Repair is seeking a reliable and professional Tow Truck Operator to join our growing team. This position is responsible for providing timely, courteous, and safe towing and roadside assistance services to our customers. We operate 24/7, and drivers must be dependable and willing to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate light- and medium-duty tow trucks to transport vehicles
Respond promptly to service calls, ensuring professional customer interactions
Tow vehicles from accident scenes, breakdowns, and private property impounds
Perform roadside assistance including jump starts, tire changes, lockouts, and fuel delivery
Complete all required reports, logs, and documentation accurately
Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of assigned truck
Communicate with dispatch clearly and consistently throughout shifts
Follow all safety procedures and DOT regulations
Handle vehicles with care and respect at all times

Requirements:

Valid Driver’s License
Valid Chauffeur License
Valid US DOT medical examination card
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (preferred but not required)
Clean driving record
Previous towing or roadside assistance experience preferred
Must pass a background check
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
